Ready for Sky has established a significant increase in sales of smart devices connected to the R4S platform. More than 1.3 million units of Sky appliances were sold in 2017.
The Russian REDMOND company distributor launched the first devices with remote control via the Ready for Sky app in 2014. By the end of 2016 30 smart technology items were in sale in the Russian Federation territory. Most of them were kitchen devices such as smart multicookers, smart kettles, smart kitchen scales, smart coffee makers, smart heaters, smart irons and smart sockets. According to REDMOND representatives, the launch of smart lighting kettles of the SkyKettle G2 line allows to double sales in 2017. Four models of the SkyKettle line became top-devices in the REDMOND smart line and still hold a leading position in the segment of small household appliances.
According to statistics of 2017, the Ready for Sky app was downloaded more than 500 thousand times the number is still growing and is reaching up to 700 000. The application is unique for all R4S smart devices and the growth of its demand indicates that the distributor has new customers.
In 2018, Ready for Sky will make its platform open to third-party developers and other home appliances manufacturers. That will increase the number of devices sold. Moreover, the range of the appliances will expand with the launch of smart sensors for home safety (smoke, gas, water leakage sensors etc.), as well as after the R4S technology integration into grills, ovens and voice assistants.
