During IFA 2019, Ready for Sky introduced the voice control option via Google Assistant to European users
The International Exhibition of Consumer Electronics and Home Appliances IFA 2019* was held in Berlin on September 6-11. During IFA, Ready for Sky presented a new option for smart devices – voice control option via Google Assistant on his partner’s booth, REDMOND.
Today, more than 1,000 smart devices and gadgets are equipped with Ready for Sky remote control technology. Until 2019, smart devices were controlled through a mobile app. However, this year many models of smart appliances and devices have been supplied with a new voice control option.
Already in May, the users could control smart light kettles, coffee makers, multibakers, grills, as well as 30-in-1 SkyPort multigadget, smart socket and some devices of the climate control line using voice commands to Alice assistant, which is built into Yandex applications. Now the voice control option has appeared for European users – via the Google Assistant commands, they can control smart kettles, lamps, grills, multibakers, heaters and sockets.
The presentation of the voice control option via Google Assistant aroused the interest of the visitors at the booth. And this is to be expected: the voice control makes smart Sky-line devices even more simple, accessible and understandable to the user. Devices with voice control can become a part of a universal smart home that everyone can assemble, like a designer, using appliances and devices from different brands.
The voice control option via Google Assistant was presented with the support of the Google representative. The specialists from Ready for Sky and Google jointly demonstrated the capabilities of the built-in assistant to everyone using smart kettle SkyKettle G200S as an example and clarified all the issues raised. The visitors were told what commands the appliances and devices can perceive, how the data transmission system works, how the integration with the Google platform has been implemented, and also announced the expansion of the number of devices supplied with the option to control via Google Assistant. All comers could appreciate the voice control in real time. Using Google Assistant, they were trying to turn on and off smart appliances and devices.
